Those who know me personally know my love for westerns, those who know me even better know about my strange obsession with westerns from the 1990’s. I recently discovered Bad Girls is now on Netflix (a slightly cheesy movie about renegade cowgirls starring Drew Barrymore and Andie McDowell) and it just imprinted this image of being a badass cowgirl in my head and I now can’t seem to stop dressing like one.
Seeing as it is summer in southern California I decided that it is quite alright (and practical) to be out and about in western wear.
- Cowboy Hat – obviously keeps the sun out of your face
- Button up – A light weight cotton top is breathable and perfect for the heat
- Denim – Durable and gets better with wear and dirt (seeing as you spend more time outside in the summer)
- Boots – Sandals just wont do when hiking trails and frolicking in parks (your feet would get too dirty)
